Mile 5, Nkwen Crosses One Month in Darkness

 Residents of Mile 5, Nkwen in Bamenda III municipality have complained of no electricity supply for over one month now. Inhabitants of the locality are in doubts as to what happened to the recently installed transformer. Some have attributed it to poor connection and overload and others say it is a deliberate move to destroy the transformer. “We have been in blackout now for over one month, we can’t use our fridges to store perishable food, our children who go to school are facing difficulties to study especially now that they prepare to write the GCE”, Tumban Leslie, a resident of mile 5 said. Tumban Leslie decrying frequent blackouts He therefore pleads to the powers that be, the DO for Bamenda III and the Mayor of Bamenda III council to help rescue the situation. Generators have become the main power supply in locality ENEO, the main power supply company in Bamenda is yet to make an official statement about the electricity problem in the locality.
