Bamenda: Presbyterian Health Complex Inaugurated

By kimbi Lionel  The innovative moderator of the Presbyterian church in Cameroon, PCC, Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba has Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a 70 bed Presbyterian Health Complex in Ntamulung,  Bamenda on Saturday April 23, 2022.  Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel cutting the ribbon  The ultra modern health facility is aimed at promoting social inclusion to the population of north west region and beyond. The healthy complex received with satisfactory joy by the people of Bamenda town will go a long way to improve on the provision of quality health care for all in the region. Fonki Samuel Forba said the Health Complex  is an inclusive facility for everybody no matter your religion be it moslem, full gospel, catholic or other religions. Humanitarian Assistance: Ndu council, partners donates food items to victims of crises.

The population of Mbongong and Mbororo community in Ndu subdivision have received humanitarian assistance consists of a consignment of basic needs and food items from Ndu council, Wimbum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA, and the honorable MP for Ndu, Hon. Naomi Ngando.  The goodwill gesture happened on Saturday April 16, 2022 at the Ndu council esplanade. The donation was made to the displaced population of Mbongong affected by the recent crises of March 29th that led to death of four persons and destruction of properties according to authorities of the area.  Donated items made of sugar, groundnut oil and rice.  The crises started when three mbororo men were executed in cold blood by suspected separatists operating in the area. In retaliation, the Mbororo community went on rampage and burnt houses in Mbongong which resulted to one person losing his life. MINAC: Prof Fai Donatus Tangem Appointed Director

Professor Fai Donatus Tangem has been appointed new director of cinematography and audio-visual production at the Ministry of Arts and Culture. He replaces another research teacher Prof Georges Madiba in the position. He was appointed Thursday April 14.  Speaking to the press shortly after his appointment, Prof Fai Donatus pledged commitment, support, and loyalty to the development of Arts and Culture subsector in Cameroon. New director, Prof Fai Donatus Tangem   "Naturally I appreciate and give all glory to God, the Head of state and the Prime Minister Head of Government for offering me the opportunity to serve my country in the position of Director of Cinematography and Audio Visual Productions in the ministry of Arts and Culture. Africa: WHO embrace initiative to fight noncommunicable diseases

The world Health Organization is getting the world back on track to reduce premature deaths from noncommunicable diseases, NCDs like diabetes, cancer, heart and lung disease. The decision was taken Tuesday April 12, at the inauguration of international strategic dialogue on noncommunicable diseases and the sustainable development goals, held in Accra, Ghana.  Two-year old receiving cancer vaccine  During the dialogue to prevent noncommunicable diseases, it national leaders highlighted that 7 out 10 people globally dies from risk factors like tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity and air pollution.  The initiative to combat noncommunicable diseases focuses on: saving the lives of 50 million people by 2030, who could die prematurely of NCDs, protecting 1.7 billion people living with NCDs, integrating NCDs within primary health care and universal health coverage, and engaging 1.7 billion people living with NCDs and mental health conditions in policy-making an...

FECAFOOT: Murum Devine elected delegate of fecafoot NW

 Murum Divine, president of Santos fc has been voted delegate of the fecafoot general assembly NW to join the 5 other delegates Yoye Bless, Fomum Victorine, Fai Salle, Soh Simplice, and Aghor oliver at the fecafoot national assembly. This is in accordance with fecafoot text, which stimulate that an executive does not occupy two positions. Ako Mayor Cries Out Over Undeveloped Municipality

The mayor of Ako council in Ako subdivision in Donga Mantung division, Mr Nkanya Godlove Nkwai in an interview granted to the press, laments about bad roads, says municipality without internet network, regrets no form of tarred road, and appalled the entire subdivision is yet to have electricity supply.  Nkanya Godlove Nkwai said as mayor, he cannot stay in Ako for two weeks, because he will be lost out with information. He added that information about the affairs of the council always pup up on social media and if he doesn't stay out of the subdivision, they won't be any means for him to assess  information due to lack of internet.  Ako Mayor, Mr Nkanya Nkwai "2021 has not been an easy year for me because there's a lot that would have been improve upon, but the enclave nature of the municipality, bad nature of roads, little or no contractors and sometimes contractors come for projects are not reliable has remain a major challenge for me", mayor Nkanya Nkwai said....
