Bamenda: Presbyterian Health Complex Inaugurated

The innovative moderator of the Presbyterian church in Cameroon, PCC, Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba has Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a 70 bed Presbyterian Health Complex in Ntamulung, Bamenda on Saturday April 23, 2022.

The ultra modern health facility is aimed at promoting social inclusion to the population of north west region and beyond. The healthy complex received with satisfactory joy by the people of Bamenda town will go a long way to improve on the provision of quality health care for all in the region.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba said the Health Complex is an inclusive facility for everybody no matter your religion be it moslem, full gospel, catholic or other religions. "No preferential treatment shall be given to any particular person but we will treat all our patients like Kings and Queens”, he said.

The moderator was closely followed by PCC Synod Clark, Rev. Mini Hans Abia, the secretary committee of the ministry, Rev. Masok Emmanuel Bassam, the constitution secretary, Rev. Bame Samuel, the PCC national communication, Rev. Dr. Perpetua Fonki, Presbyterian secretaries, a college of pastors and elders.
At the inauguration, Bamenda II mayor, Peter Chenwi expressed his deepest satisfaction to the moderator, said what they need now is collaboration and immediately pledged the sum of one million franc CFA to pay the bills of the first 100 patients in the hospital. The health Complex is located in Ntamulung, Bamenda.

To ease and facilitate movement of patients in and out of the hospital, the innovative moderator Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba donated a brand new Toyota Hilus to the administration of the hospital and caution the administration not to use the vechile to transport farm products. "The vechile has to be here 24/24 so that when the called the nurses in the night that there is a patient who can not walk, the vechile should move immediately and bring the patient", he said.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of the Canadian commissioner, Richard Bale, representative of the governor for the North West Region, representative of the health regional delegate, representative of the fon of mankon and many others. These dignitaries where all thankful for the great effort in improving health quality by PCC.

The PCC moderator said he is not ending the foundation in Bamenda. He announced that, same time in 2023, he will be inaugurating another state of the arts healthy complex in Garoua.
