Indomitable lions win the opening AFCON match

 Congratulations to the indomitable lions of Cameroon who defeated Burkina Faso (2-1) yesterday at the AFCON2021 opening match at the olembe stadium in Yaounde. 

The two goals came from the indomitable lion's captain Vincent Aboubakar as an advantage of two penalties given to him in favor of Cameroon. It is recorded that Vincent Aboubakar is the first player to score a double in the opening game at the TotalEnergiesAFCON after Flavio Amado and Seydou Keita in 2010.

Those were the captain's 28th and 29th goal for the Cameroon national team. Vincent Aboubakar was name man of the match at the first ever game of the 33rd AFCON edition. 

"I personally can't say I'm satisfied. Given the quality of our team, we didn't provide good football. We need to wake up as a collective. From the next match we have to show another face of Cameroon". Says Vincent Aboubakar 

According to Bertrand Traore, the Burkina Faso striker who lost his first AFCON match against Cameroon (2-1) criticize the referees after the defeat. Says Cameroon was favored by referees!

ATTACK ON MINISTER: NORTH WEST YOUTHS MARCH AGAINST VIOLENCE, DEMAND REPATRIATION OF ATTACKERS

Youths from the North West Region staged a peaceful protest in Bamenda on Friday March 14, 2025, condemning recent violent attacks on the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education and the Cameroonian Ambassador to Belgium.
