Yen Pastries production to empower 200 youth by end of 2022

 At least some 200 young people in the country will soon benefit from a training offered by Yen Pastries production, authorities of the pastries production have announced. 

The disclosed was made by Wanchi Lucia Yen, CEO of Yen Pastries. She announced that the training program is open for all youth across Cameroon and they can join at their convenient time.

Yen told the media that she has already impacted 50 youth in pastries production which have enable them to live a comfortable life. 

The training will involve all categories of cakes, glazed doughnut, yoghurt, peanut, chinchin, fish and meat pie, scorched egg coated with meat and flour, sausage rolls, and butter icing amongst others. 

According to the initiator, the training is mostly practicals and provide you with skills to bake ideas to life and build a global brand in professional pastries. "Everything goes with practical to promote greater understanding and easy catch-up of trainees", Yen said.

Yen Pastries through the project intends to empower at least 200 youth by 2023 through professional training and employability in pastries production. The training will see the targeted youth empowered in the field of marketing and branding. 

Yen also reveal that there's an online platform for those who cannot acquire the training onsite, this will benefit other youth far away and out of Doual. 

Still in line with her initiative, Yen have launch another program which is to train and mentor at least 3 IDP's annually. "My biggest dream has always been to restore and give hope to the needy, to create impact in the lives of young citizens in order for them to live an independent life", she said. 

Lucia Yen said you can gain direct employment after completing your training in less than 21 days and urges young youth to be part of the training. The training is currently ongoing in douala. 

"A ready market is put in place after acquiring the skills, through weddings, seminars, birthdays, engagement parties and many others".

ATTACK ON MINISTER: NORTH WEST YOUTHS MARCH AGAINST VIOLENCE, DEMAND REPATRIATION OF ATTACKERS

Youths from the North West Region staged a peaceful protest in Bamenda on Friday March 14, 2025, condemning recent violent attacks on the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education and the Cameroonian Ambassador to Belgium.
