Bum Football Tournament Yde: Kichambo FC crowned Champions at 15th edition.

Kichambo FC have emerged champions of the Bum Football Tournament for the 2022 season.

 The boys of coach Philip Tam outplayed defending champions, Alung united FC of Lakabum two goals to zero during the finals of the Bum Football Association, BUFA played at the Brasseries stadium Ekie, Yaounde on Sunday August 28. 

Nji Bebeto who emerged highest goal scorer with three goals in three games powered in the first goal in the final minutes of the first half and Trust Kimbi powered in the second magical goal in the last minutes of play.
                            Lifting the trophy 
 
Sunday's victory saw Kichambo FC lifting the trophy for the first time in the history of the tournament after their elimination at the final stage in the last two editions of the tournament.

They equally won the following prices: best coach, in the place of Philip Tam, best player in the place of Hanson Jam, best goal keeper in the place of Yangsi Chris, and highest goal scorer Nji Bebeto. 

The team played 3 matches in the tournament, recording one win, one draw and a defeat emerging second runners up with 4 points to face the almighty Alung united FC who emerge first with 7 points and last year champions.

"We are very happy that the competition went successfully to the end despite some irregularities that caused the cancelation of Day 3 matches but a lot of positive changes happened at the end especially in the cash price for the cup which equally increased. 
The tournament this year was more competitive as it was made up of only 4 teams and from the beginning we made it clear that, those who qualify as first and second from the group stage, automatically plays the finals", BUFA president, Hycenth Chia.

"We thank God for the accomplishment, last year we tried and did not succeed but this year we faught for it and finally became champions", team president, Malcom Alain Ndi sad. 

"As champions of this years edition, Kichambo FC is expected to maintain the same performance and team spirit in the next year season and we will still uplift the trophy", team coach, Philip Tam said. 

To Kinah Gabriel, team manager "The boys and I are very happy to have realised this historic win and will do everything possible to keep this trophy and to maintain fair play in the next season"

It is worth mentioning that Kichambo FC have talented, young and dynamic players waiting for exploitation from football officials in the country and beyond.
